42. Burial - Ghost Hardware (2007)

Burial (William Bevan) makes some of the most haunting, ethereal music known to mankind. The songs completely take over any surrounding, and the sounds just flow over everything. In Burial's version of dubstep (a recently formed type of electronic music created in the UK), he uses a lot of female vocal samples (a Christina Aguilera sample in this song) and makes them completely unrecognizable and typically much better sounding than the source material could have ever been. This is perfect music for driving at night in the wintertime....I can't wait for it to get really cold again so I can spend another season with this record.
